Playa Encanto is located less than four and one-half hours from Tucson or Phoenix. The time includes sixty miles South after crossing the U.S. / Mexico border and twenty miles East once you reach Puerto Peñasco (Rocky Point). Passports are required for Adults/Children16 years and older. Children under the age of 16 must have a valid Birth certificate for re-entry to the US. Remember when passing through the town of Sonoyta to obey all traffic laws. Speed limit is 40km/25mph in town and 65km/40mph on the out skirts of town. Be sure to make full stops at all stop signs. It is highly recommend to get Mexican auto insurance prior to going. Look under Helpful tip/Information for recommended insurance companies (it's cheaper to get it in advance). Please note that masks are still required in most public places.
